Adam Ward, 20, a Marine re-enactor from Pittsburgh, holds a Japanese flag once used by a Japanese soldier during the battle of Iwo Jima in 1944, at World War II Weekend at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Reading, Pa. The re-enactors were preparing for a weapons and tactics demonstration Marines used during the battle. The weekend transported visitors back in time as they were surrounded by thousands of re-enactors in period-style uniforms representing various nations. The weekend also featured period entertainment, weapons demonstrations, mock battles and an air show. (Photo by Cpl. David Bessey)
