The 24th annual World War II Weekend was celebrated at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum June 6-8, 2014, in Reading, Pa. It began as an air show in 1994 to restore a P-61 Black Widow, which if completed, will be the only aircraft of its kind in the air. Approximately 20,000 visitors travel to the event each year. The weekend transported visitors back in time as they were surrounded by thousands of re-enactors in period-style uniforms representing various nations. The weekend also featured period entertainment, weapons demonstrations, mock battles and an air show. (Photo by Cpl. David Bessey)
