A 48-star American flag flies high after Marine Corps re-enactors of the Living History Detachment from Parris Island, S.C., completed a morning colors ceremony June 6, 2014, before the start of World War II Weekend in Reading, Pa. The weekend transported visitors back in time as they were surrounded by thousands of re-enactors in period-style uniforms representing various nations. The weekend also featured period entertainment, weapons demonstrations, mock battles and an air show. (Photo by Cpl. David Bessey)
