    In this work from the U.S. Coast Guard Art Program 2014 Collection, "HC-130H Hercules Pilot‚" ID# 201408, a Coast Guardsman with Air Station Kodiak is shown in the plane's cockpit while flying to Barrow, Alaska, in preparation for Arctic Shield operations. Arctic Shield operations include a forward operating location during the summer to decrease search and rescue response times in the region. U.S. Coast Guard Art Program work by Frank Gaffney.
