U.S. Army Maj. John Geis (middle left), executive officer for the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, and Maj. Mark Wade, the Spartan Brigade’s operations officer (middle right), were honored with the Order of Saint Maurice Medallion and Meritorious Service Medal for their outstanding service to the infantry community and to the Spartan Brigade’s paratroopers during an awards ceremony May 30, 2014, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The award officially inducts the recipient into the National Infantry Association and honors the highest standards of integrity, moral character, professional competence, and dedication to duty.
