The Order of Saint Maurice Medallion, an award recognizing those who have made a significant impact on the infantry community, was presented to U.S. Army Maj. John Geis, executive officer for the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, and Maj. Mark Wade, the Spartan Brigade’s operations officer, during an award ceremony May 30, 2014, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The award officially inducts the recipient into the National Infantry Association and honors the highest standards of integrity, moral character, professional competence and dedication to duty.
