Lintin Paul, a training safety officer with Clayvue Hospital, applies moulage makeup to Ori Alleyne, a lifeguard with the Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Tourism, before participating in a mass casualty training exercise here on June 4. Alleyne and several other lifeguards volunteered role players, depicting severely injured plane crash survivors during an Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) Coast Guard training exercise. The exercise tested the response capabilities of ABDF Coast Guard members in search and rescue, medical triage and treatment tactics and procedures as part of Tradewinds 2014. Tradewinds is a joint, combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
