U.S. Marine Capt. Daniel Eagan works with members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines May 10 prior to boarding a KC-130J Super Hercules flying to Tacloban, Philippines. Members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. armed forces traveled to Tacloban for a cooperative health engagement as a part of Exercise Balikatan, an annual bilateral exercise with Philippine and U.S. forces intended to strengthen friendships and interoperability between the two allied nations. More than 390 community members received medical treatment and health classes during the engagement. Eagan is the J-4 logistics officer in charge for the Joint Civil Military Operations Task Force, U.S. armed forces, normally assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
