The image shows ancient stone ruins featuring a series of arched openings arranged in a colonnade or arcade formation, set in an arid desert landscape. The structure appears to be partially collapsed on the right side, with rubble and fallen stone blocks visible. The hazy, overcast sky and sandy terrain suggest a Middle Eastern or North African archaeological site.

These arches once stood as doorways to shops, now are remnants of a past culture in the Shrine of Hatra, in Hatra, Iraq, Nov. 20. Hatra is one of three areas in Iraq that is a World Heritage site. United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, works to create the conditions for genuine dialogue based upon respect for shared values and the dignity of each civilization and culture.
