1st Air Cavalry Brigade flies in fun for disabled children

Brendan Grinalds, 10, a camper at the Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children in Killeen, Texas, checks out the interior of a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from Company B, 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Nov. 8. The static display was put on by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Shai Bardfield, a pilot who's son, Stetson, 7, is also a camper at PKRC. Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children is a non-profit facility where teens and children who have disabilities and chronic illness go to enjoy summer camp with others just like them. This particular weekend focused on campers with a joint disability called arthogryphosis.
