Tech. Sgt. Donald Brogan, 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 34th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, uses a large wrench to loosen a non-cooperative bolt during removal of a flap from a B-1 Lancer Oct. 5, 2008. A maintenance crew is pulling the flaps from the B-1 Lancer in order to troubleshoot a flap lock-up problem at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The B-1 is often called upon to deliver precision weapons in support of ground troops engaged in Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Sergeant Brogan, a native of Saint Charles, Mo., is deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.
