Tech. Sgts. Donald Brogan and Shaun Carroll use a special wrench for extra torque to remove problem screws from a B-1 Lancer flap Oct. 5, 2008. The two, both assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 34th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, are pulling the flaps in order to troubleshoot a flap lock-up problem at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The B-1 is often called upon to deliver precision weapons in support of ground troops engaged in Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Sergeant Brogan, a native of Saint Charles, Mo., and Sergeant Carroll, hailing from Charleston, S.C., are both deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.
