A row of U.S. Marine Corps M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks are organized in the equipment staging area at Gwangyang Port, Republic of Korea, after being offloaded from the Military Sealift Command maritime prepositioning force ship USNS 2nd Lt. John P. Bobo March 11 at Gwangyang Port, Republic of Korea, during exercise Freedom Banner 2014. Freedom Banner is an annual exercise in support of the Marine Expeditionary Force Exercise, which will project U.S. military power and exercise maritime prepositioning force ship offloading capabilities similar to what would occur during a wartime or disaster relief scenario while giving Marines an opportunity to strengthen ties between the U.S. and the Republic of Korea. The tanks will be used to support other exercises within the Korean peninsula, such as amphibious assault exercise Ssang Yong 14 and MEFEX. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Matt Myers/Released)
