Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier George Washington move cargo from the helicopter landing area during a vertical replinishment with the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Henry J. Kaiser. George Washington is sailing off the coast of Southern California where the crew is working on its Combat Operations Efficiency evaluation with Carrier Air Wing 5. George Washington departed San Diego, Aug. 21, 2008, en route to Yokosuka, Japan, where the ship will replace USS Kitty Hawk as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
