Sierra Leone Army Maj. Bockarie Marah checks out a fire hose nozzle in the USS Chief Fire Fighting Trainer at Recruit Training Command here, May 13, Marah and nine foreign officers from eight countries were shown how recruits are taught to fight shipboard fires during boot camp. The foreign officers are from the Naval Education and Training Security Assistance Field Activity (NETSAFA) the U.S. Navy's agent for Navy education and training. They coordinate and supply training support to international governments and international organizations. As a field activity of the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC), NETSAFA serves as a focal point for all security assistance training program issues, coordination and advice within the U.S. Navy.
