A U.S. Marine with Company F, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 1 talks on a radio as Iraqis wait to be issued new identification cards at an entry control point in Al Fallujah, Iraq. U.S. Marines with 2/24 are assisting Iraqi Police in providing safety and security to the citizens of Al Fallujah. RCT-1 is deployed with Multi National Force-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market-based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
