The color guard from the 4th Mechanized Battalion, 36th Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division, march in a parade, celebrating the activation of the new battalion at Camp Taji, northwest of Baghdad, July 10. The Iraqi army soldiers completed two weeks of training, learning basic skills required to protect the residents of the Taji Qada. Multi-National Division Soldiers with the Military Transition Team from 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, was instrumental in training the Iraqi brigade leading to the activation.
