U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Samanntha R. Albert cuts notches into a truss at an engineering civic assistance project Oct. 1 at Taysan Elementary School, Legazpi City, Albay, Republic of the Philippines during Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. The civil-military component of the PHIBLEX 14 promotes engineer and medical operational readiness while providing services to areas where there is an identified need. Albert is a combat engineer with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, which is currently part of 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
