    Mehrbad Golshani, an electrical engineer with the USACE Los Angeles District inspect an electrical panel for damage outside of one of Fort Irwin's office buildings. A strong storm and flash flood that struck Fort Irwin and The National Training Center caused an approximate $50 million in damages to the fort, Aug. 25. There was no loss of life or injuries reported. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles district sent a response team of engineering professionals to Fort Irwin to assess damage soon after a monsoon storm hit.
