Rct. Joseph Capellini, a 24-year-old native of Kissimmee, Fla., is currently training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., in hopes of earning the title of United States Marine. Capellini is currently training with Platoon 1086, Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, and is scheduled to graduate Nov. 1, 2013. "I knew it would be the best thing for me. There was nothing at home for me, and I wanted to be the best I can be," said Capellini. Approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
