Shared Accord is a joint exercise intended to enhance U.S. and African forces' capabilities to perform peacekeeping operations in support of United Nations and African Union mandates. Shared Accord 18, sponsored by U.S. Africa Command and executed by U.S. Army Africa, seeks to enhance U.S. and other participating nations and organizations capabilities, and bilateral and regional relationships.
Participants from 15 countries celebrated the conclusion of Shared Accord 2018, a multilateral joint exercise focused on the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic, held at the Rwanda Military Academy in Gako, Rwanda, Aug. 28.
