U.S. Army Lt. Col. Robert Lindberg, an ophthalmologist assigned to U.S. Army Reserve Medical Command converses with South African National Defense Force Soldier about patient’s evaluation at Dondotha Clinic during MEDREX 2020-South Africa, 19 July. Lindberg is part of a team of 15 medical personnel from the New York Army National Guard partnering with medical professionals of the South Africa National Defense Force to treat patients in the KZN communities. MEDREX is a medical training exercise, planned and executed by the United States Army Southern European Task Force, Africa, that allows the U.S. military to demonstrate their commitment to global partners as well as exchange best medical practices with their African counterparts.
