Fort Lee soldiers fill the bleachers at Williams Stadium field to watch twenty-six soldiers representing 13 Army commands compete against each other during the Army Physical Fitness Test portion of the Department of the Army Best Warrior 2011 competition, Oct. 3, on Fort Lee, Va. At 5:00 a.m., the week-long competition kicked off with a chilly and wet APFT. The APFT measures soldiers' muscular strength, endurance, and cardiovascular respiratory fitness based on three events; push-ups, sit-ups, and a two-mile run.
