Jones is visiting “Pineland,” a simulated village in which civil affairs soldiers undergo their final qualification before becoming members of the civil affairs community. Jones is a part of a group of Congressional staff members who are visiting Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall during “Army Reserve Day” to get a better idea of the training and the challenges which the Army Reserve, the U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) and the Special Warfare Center & School face on a daily basis.
