Rebecca G. Ulrich, Military Legislative Assistant for Rep. Jeff Duncan (S.C.) and Maj. Kenny Jones, Military fellow for Rep. Duncan Hunter (Calif.) talk with a Special Warfare Center & School instructor on Sept. 28, 2011. Ulrich and Jones are visiting “Pineland,” a simulated village in which civil affairs soldiers undergo their final qualification before becoming members of the civil affairs community.
Ulrich and Jones are part of a group of Congressional staff members who are visiting Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall during “Army Reserve Day” to get a better idea of the training and the challenges which the Army Reserve, the U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) and the Special Warfare Center & School face on a daily basis.
