Milwaukee, Ore., native, Staff Sgt. Joshua Smith and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Larry Claflin from Gig Harbor, Wash., fasten their unit's Yellow Banner to the line at Army Support Activity-Dix's Infantry Park May 13. Their unit, the 467th Transportaion Company, Detachment 3, whose motto is "Heave to," is an Army Reserve organization out of Tacoma, Wash., that will deploy to Kuwait to conduct a cargo and transportation movement mission. The Yellow Banner is given to units who mobilize through ASA-Dix as a symbolic gesture that they are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the ASA-Dix community. The banner is hung in Infantry Park while the unit is deployed and given back to the organization upon its return from combat.
