Greensboro, N.C., natives, Maj. Timothy Popek and 1st Sgt. Kent Chicosky, 422nd Civil Affairs Battalion, A Company, display their unit's Welcome Home Plaque and Yellow Banner at a ceremony held at Army Support Activity-Dix's B Company May 14. Their unit, an Army Reserve organization out of Greensboro, N.C., returned from a deployment in Afghanistan and mobilized out of Dix last May. The Yellow Banner is given to units who mobilize through ASA-Dix as a symbolic gesture that they are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the ASA-Dix community. The banner is hung in Infantry Park while the unit is deployed and given back to the organization upon its return from combat.
