Col. David H. Carstens (right) presents Jaleel Bryan Thomas-Tamrat (left), son of fallen U.S. Army Soldier Pfc. Bryan Thomas, with a registered Gold Star lapel pin during a ceremony for family members whom have lost a Soldier in the line of duty April 22, 2014 on Lucias D. Clay Kaserne. These stars are given to members of the immediate family of a fallen service member by the Department of Defense. The families were individually pinned by Col. David Carstens.
