Soldiers from the 102nd Signal Battalion stand ready to present flowers to families of fallen U.S. Army Soldiers were honored on April 22, 2014 on Lucias D. Clay Kaserne for their sacrifices and the loss of their Soldier in the line of duty. A memorial plaque and tree were planted in the memory of those whom have lost their lives in the line of duty. Each family member present was presented with a Gold Star lapel pn. These stars are distributed to members of the immediate family of a fallen service member by the Department of Defense. The families were individually pinned by Col. David H. Carstens. Flowers were presented by Soldiers from the 102nd Signal Battalion.
