Members of the Hawaii Army National Guard assisted in the evacuation on the north shore of Oahu during the second Kona Low storm in two weeks. The Hawaii Army National Guard used their light medium tactical vehicles to transport the stranded residents from a Red Cross gathering point at Waialua High School to a shelter location at Leileihua High School.
