ADRIATIC SEA – Launched on 03 April 2004 and commissioned on 05 March 2005, the guided missile destroyer USS NITZE is named for Paul H. Nitze who served as Secretary of the Navy under President Lyndon B. Johnson and as Chief Arms Control Advisor during the Ronald Reagan Administration.
