On Aug. 3, 2026, three U.S. Marines stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort acted quickly to rescue an unconscious driver from a burning vehicle on Parris Island Gateway. Cpl. Nathan C. Armstrong, Cpl. Isaac T. Ames and Cpl. Caleb L.
