Soldiers of the Georgia National Guard mobilized on Sept. 14 at Fort Stewart, GA, where they completed qualifications and soon headed to Washington, D.C. to support the D.C. Safe and Beautiful mission. Today, these soldiers are patrolling communities around the D.C. Armory.
Soldiers and Airmen from of the District of Columbia National Guard partnered with the Capital Area Food Bank, September 10, 2025, to provide food for families across the District, Maryland, and Virginia. In just three hours, the team packed more than 6,030 pounds of food into 347 boxes during a single volunteer event.
Soldiers and Airmen gathered in an outdoor lunch hall at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB) for a moment of fellowship with Auxiliary Bishop Neal Buckon on September 7, 2025. Buckon is a former U.S. Army Ranger and was invited to share mass and spend time with the troops. During his sermon, he urged Soldiers: “Be brave and steadfast as you go forward.”
