The West Shore Lake Pontchartrain levee and floodwall alignment at contract 106 in St. John the Baptist Parish will cross the canal located between the east and west-bound lanes of Interstate 10. Once the sheet pile foundation is established, marine traffic will not be able to traverse the full length of the canal. Construction of the floodwall is scheduled to begin in mid-May....
