      Wisconsin Army National Guard Soldiers and noncommissioned officers compete in the 2023 Wisconsin Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Fort McCoy, Wis., April 20-23. The competition is designed to recognize and reward Soldiers who demonstrate exceptional skills, leadership, and dedication through a variety of grueling tasks including a 12-mile road march, weapons qualifications, land navigation, and the Army Combat Fitness Test. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) complete the Combat Water Survival Test and Stress Shoot during their Best Leader Competition (BLC) at Abrams Gym and Blackwell Pistol Bravo Range in Fort Hood, Texas, February 15, 2023. BLC showcases the strength of Army leadership by demonstrating the adaptability of the best CRDAMC Soldiers.       HAWTHORNE, Nev. – Staff Sgt. Keahi Granstrom, a motor transport operator in the 1864th Transportation Company, and Sgt. Bryan Brown, a combat engineer in the 609th Engineer Company, took first in the 2022 Nevada Best Warrior Competition, March 10, 2022.

    • Warrior Medics rise to the occasion at Best Warrior Competition

      This year’s best warrior competition for Army Reserve Medical Command was held at Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Washington, the 13th thru the 17th of April. Ten Noncommissioned officers and five enlisted Soldiers represented their respective brigades, with the goal to be selected as the best for either the NCO or enlisted category, and go forward to “represent” ARMEDCOM at the U.S. Army Reserve level competition held on Fort Bragg, North Carolina in June. The competition included standard events like the Army Physical Fitness Test, land navigation and weapons qualification, but also included mystery events like a combat water survival course, a medical lane and a timed obstacle course.
