28th Infantry Division

Command Sergeant Major Daryl Demarzo succeeded Command Sgt. Maj. Valerie Jones as battalion Command Sgt. Maj. of Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 28th Infantry Division. The ceremony was held at Harrisburg Military Post, Harrisburg, Pa. on August 16, 2026.

Immediately following the change of responsibility, Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth Swartzell succeeded Lt. Col Mark Campbell as battalion commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 28th Infantry Division.

The change of command ceremony marked the transition with the time-honored passing of the colors in front of a formation of division soldiers. The incoming command sergeant major and commander took over on August 1, 2026.
