Indiana National Guard soldiers with the 19th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High-yield Explosives, Enhanced Response Force Package, 81st Troop Command, search a simulated collapsed building Aug. 11 during Vibrant Response 13-2 exercises at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Ind. The 19th CBRNE ERFP serves as Vibrant Response’s CBRN decontamination support for civilian responders. In these scenarios, military units support local, state and federal authorities, while Soldiers receive important training for actual disasters. VR 13-2 is a major incident exercise conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North (Fifth Army), which is based out of Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
