U.S. Army Garrison Alaska, Fort Wainwright marks 25 years since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks during a Patriot Day remembrance ceremony. Soldiers, Civilians and community members gathered to remember the 2,977 lives lost that day and the service and sacrifice that followed. Col. John Campbell, USAG Alaska commander, delivered remarks during the observance, which was attended by U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Alaska Sen. Scott Kawasaki. A representative from Gov. Mike Dunleavy’s office also read a proclamation declaring Patriot Day in Alaska. (Photo by Daniel Nelson, U.S. Army Garrison Alaska, Fort Wainwright Public Affairs)
