Christopher Alexander, commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (SURFLANT), presents the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal to Retail Specialist 2nd Class Johncristopher R. Dalida, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS James E. Williams (DDG 95) during an official visit, Sept. 9, 2026. SURFLANT mans, trains, and equips assigned surface forces and shore activities, ensuring a capable force for conducting prompt and sustained operations in support of United States national interests.
