Christopher Alexander, commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (SURFLANT), presents the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal to Gas Turbine System Technician (Mechanical) 1st Class James Grecenko, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS James E. Williams (DDG 95) during an official visit, Sept. 9, 2026. SURFLANT mans, trains, and equips assigned surface forces and shore activities, ensuring a capable force for conducting prompt and sustained operations in support of United States national interests.
