    U.S. Navy Gunner’s Mate Seaman Anthony Burkett, assigned to the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chosin (CG 65), center is awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal by U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Joe Cahill, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, left, and U.S. Navy Force Master Chief Larry Lynch of CNSP, right, during a visit to the warship, Sep. 9, 2026. While aboard Chosin, Cahill spoke with command leadership and recognized Sailors for their excellent performance and team cohesion in keeping the warship battle-ready. CNSP conducts regular visits to waterfront ships to ensure fleet commanders have the personnel, materiel and training required to project credible naval power at sea, ashore, at home and abroad.
