    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District

    A dozen U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District operations team members joined with the Omaha District operations team at Gavins Point Dam in Yankton, South Dakota, Aug. 25, 2026, to collaborate and network with operations counterparts from the Omaha District as part of their quarterly operations management meeting. The two districts compared different strategies for managing a variety of operational, maintenance and personnel tasks, including an in-depth discussion on the challenges of and methods used to combat against invasive zebra mussels.
