An air-launched missile or munition is captured in the moment of release from the underside of a military aircraft, photographed from a chase camera or onboard camera on the carrying aircraft. The weapon is falling away over an arid desert landscape, likely a test range environment based on the terrain features. The clear blue sky and high altitude suggest this is a controlled test or demonstration event.

An AGM-190A Havoc Spear small cruise missile is deployed from an Air Force Special Operations Command aircraft during a test evaluation. Havoc Spear is a mission-adaptable, modular-design small cruise missile that can be rapidly produced at relatively low cost. During a combat evaluation in the spring of 2026, the new missile’s capabilities proved to be accurate and effective when employed from an AFSOC platform in a test configuration, meeting AFSOC’s requirement for a small cruise missile.
