West Virginia Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Robert Kincaid, Assistant Adjutant General – Army, attends the opening ceremony for Southern Vanguard 2026 and addresses U.S. soldiers assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division in Sauce, Peru, Sept. 8, 2026. The multinational exercise strengthens regional partnerships and prepares forces for combined operations in complex terrain.
SV26 brings together approximately 400 warfighters to execute a field training exercise and command post exercise in a demanding austere jungle environment.
