    A U.S. Soldier assigned to 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) reflects at the Memorial Wall at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Sept. 11, 2026. On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, 1st SFG(A) conducted a solemn remembrance ceremony to honor the sacrifices of service members lost during the Global War on Terrorism.

    1st SFG(A) maintains highly lethal, rapidly deployable forces to execute the full spectrum of special operations alongside allies, partners, and the joint force as the preferred partner and premier special operations entity in the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility.
