NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support participated in a processional and remembrance ceremony in Philadelphia, Sept. 11, 2026, in honor of the victims lost in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks against the United States. Capt. Scotty Lieng, NAVSUP WSS deputy commander and chief of staff – aviation, represented the command in a ceremony with city officials at the Betsy Ross House that included a swearing-in ceremony for U.S. Navy enlistees from Navy Talent Acquisition Group Philadelphia. Among those representing the city were Mayor Cherelle Parker, Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel, Fire Commissioner Jeffrey Thompson, and Prisons Commissioner Michael Resnick.
