    I Marine Expeditionary Force

    U.S. Sailors with Assault Craft Unit 5, Naval Beach Group 1, Expeditionary Strike Group 3, pilot a Landing Craft Air Cushion during forward arming and refueling point training at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 9, 2026. This training validated I Marine Expeditionary Force and ACU-5’s ability to rapidly establish an LCAC-supported FARP as well as refine tactics for long-range operations in a contested environment, strengthening Marine Corps-Navy interoperability in support of distributed aviation operations.
