U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Jonathan Americano, a bulk fuel specialist and Lance Cpl. Sahara Rodriguez, an expeditionary fuels technician, both with Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, prepare to refuel during forward arming and refueling point training with a Landing Craft Air Cushion with Assault Craft Unit 5, Naval Beach Group 1, Expeditionary Strike Group 3, at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 9, 2026. This training validated I Marine Expeditionary Force and ACU-5’s ability to rapidly establish an LCAC-supported FARP as well as refine tactics for long-range operations in a contested environment, strengthening Marine Corps-Navy interoperability in support of distributed aviation operations.
