A group of firefighters in full turnout gear, including helmets and breathing apparatus, are climbing stadium stairs during what appears to be a memorial stair climb event. Black-and-white portrait photographs are placed on the stadium seats, suggesting this is a tribute or remembrance ceremony, likely honoring fallen first responders. The event takes place in a large stadium with maroon and white seating.

U.S. Air Force and German firefighters climb the steps of Fritz-Walter-Stadion during the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Sept. 11, 2026. Wearing firefighting gear, participants completed 30 loops totaling 2,071 steps — the equivalent of 110 flights of the World Trade Center towers. The climb honors the first responders who ascended the towers on Sept. 11, 2001, including the 343 New York City firefighters who lost their lives that day. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
