    Four Japan Air Self-Defense Mitsubishi F-2s assigned to the 8th Fighter Squadron, a KC-46A Pegasus assigned to the 405th Air Refueling Squadron, and a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 909th Air Refueling Squadron, fly in formation during bilateral training, over the Pacific Ocean, Sept. 2, 2026. The bilateral training opened up interactions between Kadena AB and the JASDF, exchanging refueling procedures for a range of KC-46 operations.
